Ravellenic Games 2016: Go!

The opening ceremonies for the Rio Olympics are about to start here on the west coast, and I made my last minute decision on my project for the Ravellenic Games on Ravelry.  I decided my first project will be the 3 Color Cashmere Cowl by Joji Locatelli.

I have the perfect yarn already to go.  Back in April I purchased some Lux Adorna 100% Cashmere in the Soft Spun Solid for sport weight.  The store I made the purchase at had bundled three color kits together for sale during the LA County Yarn Crawl specifically for this pattern, and I picked one set up because I knew I was going to knit this pattern sooner or later.  The colors in the kit I chose are Jackalope, Spring, and Bikini.

The picture really does not do the colors justice, but because I am a last minute decider (that’s a word, right?), I didn’t have any natural light to photograph it in.  Hopefully as I post progress, the colors will come through the screen better.  It will be a very soft cowl perfect for the spring or summer months!

I literally have zero plans for the entire weekend, so I am hoping I can make some fantastic progress while I watch the games.
