Football season is upon us! I can’t even tell you how happy this makes me. You know how some women might complain they become football widows in the fall? Well, that’s reversed in my house. I’m the one that insists on the TV being all football, all the time, on Thursday nights, Sundays, and Monday nights.
Like last year, I am participating in the season long KAL hosted by the Down Cellar Studio podcast known as the Pigskin Party. This is by far my favorite KAL every year. Not only can you make whatever you want, but it lasts the entire season so there is hope I can actually finish projects to earn points before it is over! Plus, there’s bonus points for making football themed items or using your team colors.
Last year during the football season I also participated in the Scoreboard KAL. I didn’t want to commit to a project of that size for this year, but I still wanted a project I could work on during Chargers games that was football themed. Enter, the Chargers socks!
The yarn is some custom self striping yarn that I bought last year from Lilliput Yarn on Etsy. The shop owner was fabulous to work with, and I couldn’t be happier with how these are knitting up.
Unfortunately, my Chargers knitting mojo was no help for my Bolts today, but there is always next week!
