In Lincoln, Nebraska, Lee’s Restaurant has been serving up chicken since 1945. I don’t know if the draw to the restaurant is actually the fried chicken, the live piano player that takes requests, or the roadside giant of a giant rooster that stands outside of the restaurant is the draw, but I personally think the giant rooster has a little to do with it.
I found this roadside giant on the roadsideamerica.com website, and when I read the description, I legitimately thought the piano player was Pioneer Pete the rooster. You can imagine my disappointment when I got there and the Pioneer Pete was merely the sign and not inside tapping out requests with his beak.
